Plan Toys Rhythm Box II

The sound quality from this little drum box is surprisingly good for its size—my daughter has been tapping out rhythms on it all afternoon. I love that she can sit right on it and play, which makes it feel like a real instrument rather than just a toy.

My three-year-old loves sitting on this to drum, and the compact size fits perfectly in our playroom corner. The sound it makes is surprisingly warm and resonant for such a simple wooden box.

My toddler has claimed this box as her throne and spends half the morning drumming on it while I make coffee. The fact that she can sit right on it like a little Cajon makes it feel way more interactive than the plastic tambourines we've cycled through. It's held up to some serious pounding so far,
