As counting skills improve, children will be able to solve the puzzle by matching the numbers to the counting marks on the leaves. The leaf pieces do not have a number printed on the back, the dashes on the front indicate the number.
Note: Every child learns at their own pace. Some children grasp number concepts around 4-5 years old, but some can start earlier and some later. Remember to have fun and be patient!
Ways to explore: Count the marks on the leaves, then match with the corresponding number in the tray. Counting the lobes on the leaf is another way to practice.
