The double-ended pencils are a genius touch—five metallics and five brights mean I can switch from a graphite sketch to a pop of silver without rummaging. The sketchbook's 25 black and 25 white pages are perfect for practicing contrast, and the whole kit fits right in my tote for my commute.

I was hoping the metallic pencils would show up better on the white paper, but they're more subtle than I expected. The sketchbook itself is a good size for carrying around, though the 25 white pages feel a bit thin for heavy shading.

The sketchbook paper is decent quality, but I wish the white pages were a bit thicker so the metallic pencils didn't show through as much. The double-ended design is handy for switching colors quickly while drawing on the go.
