My 4-year-old was so excited to use this net at the pond—the telescopic bar extends really far, letting him scoop up leaves and sticks without me having to lean over the water. The mesh fabric seems sturdy enough for his enthusiastic splashing.

My daughter finally managed to scoop leaves and bugs out of our little backyard pond without getting soaked—the telescopic bar extends just far enough. The mesh is surprisingly sturdy for plastic and hasn't torn after a week of enthusiastic use.

The telescopic handle is a nice idea but feels a bit flimsy when extended fully. It works okay for scooping leaves from the pond, though the netting could be sturdier for the price.
